i have 6, but i'm not after them the same way i am avies.

to get the valentine's day sidebar, you have to either send or receive a mysterious valentines card on february 14th. the person who receives the card doesn't know who sent it, hence the mystery. once it's sent, it disappears and cannot be reused.

this is from grundomoody's petpage, which is an excellent sidebar theme resource.

You can restock the card at the Igloo for 53nps year round in batches of a dozen. You can restock the card at the Gift Shop for 250nps for the entire week preceding Valentines Day. They will stock there in batches of 200. Both of these methods are extremely competitive and only recommended for experienced restockers. You can also find the card through random events.

However, the more popular way to aquire A Mysterious Valentines Card is to buy it off the Trading Post, Auction Block, or Shop Wizard. Prices fluctuate greatly throughout the year and are dependant on the supply, demand, and nearness to February 14th. It can be as much as 500k when the hype of Valentines Day nears but the supply is low, to 100k when the demand is high as well as the supply, to the low 50k range a few months after Valentines Day when investers and hopefuls are no longer interested.

they've redone extreme herder, dubloon diaster and magax: destroyer so the score needed for the avatars have changed as well.

extreme herder briefly had 2 doors remaining, but i guess it's back to one now.

the water effects in the new dubloon diaster fascinate to the point that i keep running into the mines 'cause i was watching the water and not where i was going.

magax is MUCH easier. i've put together some tips on jaynie314's petpage. not only did i get the avie, i've beat the game several times. (i could barely score above 100 in the old version.)

World Challenges

I just discovered this wonderfully lucrative side to playing the games, and I was wondering if anyone here has gotten into the world challenges and the map pieces that you win from them...
Here's the meat of my question: when you complete the map, you can transform it for 2000NP and a rare item. But, the individual pieces can sell for 14-30K. Has anyone completed a map, and gotten the rare item? And is it worth more than selling the 20 map pieces individually?

Any insight would be appreciated.

painted pet trading post

I have a checkered buzz but wish to trade it for a mutant pet of any sort. It has an orange hasee petpet (although the petpet was only zapped by the petpet ray)...if you are interested in trading please let me know. Im not sure if it is against the rules to trade pets officially, so if you like we can call it a gift exchange. I am in no way interested in anyones neopoints and the petpet is my gift to anyone who would like this cute little critter.

I also understand that pets get lost in the adoption agency. I dont mind, its worth the chance. I just really want a mutant pet is all.

neggsweeper on an imac?

I just switched from pc to imac, and I love neggsweeper game. Problem is, in order to mark a negg as bad you hit ctl+left-click, and on the imac that doesn't work. I'd normally use the apple key to do a ctl function, but that doesn't work either. Does anyone know what does? If you do it would be really cool if you could pm me. Thanks!

Hello Neopians! I'm new to the tribe.

I'd like to share a link to a neonavigation tool I am working on. I don't like the Neopets tool bar. (I already have un-installed the google and yahoo ones a few times now)

The plan is to collect a bunch of useful quick links and put them in catagorized pull down menus where the links currently are. (maybe one for quests, scratch cards, wheels, freebies, etc) If you would like to share some often used URLs I'll add them in an organized way.

I have been making great use of the "Quick Search" feature. Enter a search term and hit a button and a new window will open. SW will prepare a search in the Shop Wizard, TP will prepare a search for the Trading Post and BP for run a Battlepedia weapon search (battledome items only)

If you have any ideas on other searches to add to the "quick search" please let me know. Also if you know how to get my tool to actually run the Shop Wizard search I would love to hear about it.

I like how there is nothing to install, I can use it with easy no matter which computer I use to get to Neopia. The bummer is that I like to watch my URL and this doesn't allow that right now. (any ideas on how to fix that, I'm not attached to keeping it in frames)

I'm sick of the classmates.net and other popular ads that I'm seeing CONSTANTLY ontop of neopets now!

To solve this problem I think that they can be open to donations. I KNOW there are alot of mature users who would donate to get rid of those evil ad banners that we see every where else on the internet. These ads really don't apply to the younger users either.

Hey everyone! I haven't been on Tribe in AGES and I am REALLY happy to see that there have been some positive changes since the last time I was on :)

I began when I lived in Southern California where I was invited to attend a Neopets seminar in Beverly Hills after about 6 months of playing. I got to give advice and opinions on Neopet adds, etc. and we got paid along with free t-shirts and I met alot of the designers and creators. They were very nice to me (I was the eldest person there in the seminar at the ripe old age of 24) and they were very humbled to my excitement to meet them. I will play for months at a time and then stop for a while and join back up. I love to play destructo-match and get my free omlette! How about you!

I now live in the burbs of Chicago and am a proud mom and about to get married next Saturday!

so you can collect 11 tickets at various points around movie mt - they don't show up in your inventory, they live in an album accessable from movie mt. i have no idea what the point is, but it may end up being something cool.

here's what is known so far...
1) visit movie mt 10 times
2) visit the ticket booth. click on the circle in front of the nimmo.
3) visit the camera, click on the acara.
4) visit the clown's head, click on the mirror behind the kacheek
5) visit the clown's head, click on the 'over the hedge' sign 10 times
6) visit the marquee, hit the up arrow (you'll be in the image gallery), visit an image 25 times.
7) visit the souvenir shop, click on the 'click here to shop,' once in the shop, click on 'return to movie mountain' repeat.
8) visit the food court, click 'feed a pet,' once in the snack shop, click 'return to movie mountain.' repeat.
9) visit the marquee, view the 'over the hedge' trailor 5 times.

note: to see your tickets, visit the ticket booth and click on the 'tickets' banner.

mystery neopoints!

I just adopted a 3rd pet, put in my map pieces to access the secret lab, and zapped my new pet. Somewhere during this, I acquired 14,000 neopoints! The only place I saw that might have done something is when I traded in my map pieces, it said "x2 bonus". What is that? Is this where the points came from?

Has anyone else fed and fed and FED their pet until it refused to eat anymore, gone into Kelp, blown big bucks, and STILL had no left overs?
I spent sooooo much np in there the other day, trying to get left overs. I fed and fed my neopet until he said "please no more. I can't take another bite"
70k later he ate it all... *sigh*
he's a faker I tell you!

i got hacked.

so, it started so simple.
there was a pair of magical smelly socks in my inventory, being traded. i didn't buy those socks, or put them into trading so i went to the trading post, clicked on "my trades" and it told me i didn't have any trades, so i assumed this was a bug in the system.
but the next day, there was a new unborn pet on my pets page. get this, it's name is kalisti eris (which means chaos)! ok, someone is messing in my acct.
i changed my password.
today there was 160k nps additionally present. not missing, but added...

how is this happening? i thought people who hacked you were supposed to steal from you, not leave oodles of nps!

it makes me feel funny, not exactly glad. more like, how can i get them out? and keep them out? have you ever heard of this happening?

Any areas to do with items is either really really slow, or doesn't go at all, just gives an error message. I even bought a book at the garage sale, and it took the neopoints, and didn't give me the book! :(

I also tried posting it in MySpace profile and same thing, either it shows the whole code ir just 2 little dots like this .. but either way, no neopet!

I dont know if you guys mentioned this one already, but you can go fishing in the ruins of Maraqua and its free to play and I've gotten a couple of fish so far. I'm sure it must be a time thing like the snowager, but I havent figured out the good times yet.

the guild i've been in for most of my tenure on neopets has been overrun w/dippy illiterate children. i'm quite disappointed with my guild leader as he is unwilling to deal with the chatspeak and the overall decline in i.q. *sigh*

hannah & ice caves question

i was having a lot of fun trying out the "featured game" today, but i kept getting stuck at the snow monsters. the big problem being that you have to play almost to the end of the (rather long) level, before you get to try something. does anyone know how to get past them??? i have a feeling that you just need to jump over them, in which case im out of luck, because i dont think i have the dexterity for that (i tried)
